Hello! Rife Magazine ceased publishing new work in July 2022.

We've kept the magazine online as an archive and hope you'll still continue to enjoy all of its contributions from the last 8 years.

Adibah knows that being a feminist is awesome. But most feminist will agree, it’s hard to be the perfect activist, sometimes we just slip up and indulge in those guilty pleasures…

Fellow feminists, indulge yourself! The idea that feminists do not/should not take part in things that are associated as stereotypically ‘feminine’ is not what  the feminist movement is about. Why can’t you spend your day at work writing articles that tacking gender inequity and then in the evening watch a solid one hour of ‘Take Me Out?’ (I’m obviously NOT taking about myself here). I’m sure we are well-rounded to enjoy the simpler things in life without feeling guilty they’re betraying ours feminist leanings.

1. Wanting to bake like a domestic goddess…

But it not working out.

2. Watching chick flicks, but hoping no feminist is around to judge you…

3. Being attracted to someone so misogynistic… but goddamn it, he’s just so beautiful…

4. Being drawn in by a Cosmo magazine cover…

5. Wearing a padded bra…

6. Laughing at a guy’s joke, even when it’s not funny…

7. Enjoying the new feminist Disney characters…

But… still loving the classics more.

8. Finding misogynistic music so damn catchy…

I’m sure that I am not the only one. Have I missed one? If so, Tweet us @rifemag
